Last year I told some things about where the comic came from, and posted old drawings. I'm going to do a repeat of that this autumn. For a month you'll get the first strips - with comments - while I work on a project of sorts. Of course, Milly's comment is meant to be ironic - if your starship crew or library staff is all Homo Sapiens they will still have different views of what is “obvious” and “intuitive”. And while the stashing places they found are rather stereotypical for their species, that's not absolute. However, I doubt I'd use this now. The library in the Forest has a much more human-like way of storing things, within trees and burrows that work much like rooms. That's enough reruns. Next strip: new material.

For a month you'll get the first strips - with comments - while I work on a project of sorts. I really like this strip - both the story and the art. It's not obvious from the strip, just hinted, but Martha lives alone. She is a multiple mother - two litters - and grandmother, but after the second litter left home, she and her husband divorced. They just stuck together for the kits. Sylvia is a spinster by choice, and Milly haven't gotten around to any partners yet. This is by my choice. A family you live with feels like something that should come up in the story. Even Charles M. Schulz, who never shows an adult in Peanuts, at least has Charlie Brown talk about his father, and many of the characters are siblings. That means you should spend time on that. And I have other stories to tell. If I need relatives for a story, they all have it - if I'd

I should have decided that in advance and kept to it. It was first later I decided on a fixed format, and that was very much because it fit Instagram. The strip is very good when it comes to expressions, but also very ugly. I really don't recommend any of these ways of dealing with troublesome people.
